ugly betty

my friend did a shoot for photography
the theme was 'fashion victim'
so I thought the style of Ugly Betty would fit perfectly as for her final piece she is cutting up my face and doing it like an artist who does collages, this again reminded me of the credits for Ugly Betty.

The whole tights and socks is very this season, and its also very Betty.  On the last picture you can't see my legs however I wore white tights and socks the same colour as my blazer.
Patterned high waisted skirts, which I personally love are a staple of Betty's wardrobe.
The hand band again is another, also the big coat and belt around the waist.
Pussy bows are another big thing of Bettys so I lent a dress of my friend.
But the shoot couldn't be complete without the red glasses.
I love the whole idea of throwing on a load of different patterns and textures.
I'm going back to do more soon. There was over 300 but she only sent me these, I need to ask her for more of the blood ones so I can stick them in my portfolio for costume design.

Jameela Jamil
I've been admiring her for too long. I really like the basic outline of her clothing, the whole short high waisted skirt with a waist belt.
killer legs.
she has a really vintage classy look to her,yet I think shes human with her fashion disasters (sponge bob dress?!!).
Amazing skin colour too.

broken embraces

broken embraces

i absolutely love the narrative of this film, although its heart wrenching.
you truly emphaise with harry/mateo and feel as if you too have lost your sight.

inner beauty

Tim Burton's take on Disney characters,I think there better than the real ones.

its so beautiful that G.Kel is trapped at that age forever.

Morvern Callar

This is one of the best films I have ever ever watched. I really don't want to say anything about it as it talks for its self completely. Morvern Callar is an adaptation of a book which is entitled the same name, the main character (Morvern) who gives an amazing performance is on screen for the entire film (pretty much), she comes home to find out her boyfriend has committed suicide. Her search for escape and idenity, as she battles between who she is, is unforgetable. Ramsay's use of music will leave you speechless as it has left me wordless, this is the last scene, don't worry I'm not giving anything away here.

" You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are"

Alice in Wonderland
I went to go and see this on Friday
well done to Tim Burton

"$116.3 million over the three-day weekend (four-day if about 1,000 preview screenings at midnight Thursday/Friday are included). No film opening during the first quarter in modern times has even come close to recording as many ticket sales or raking in such a figure. The previous record for a March opening was held by Warner Bros.’ 300, which collected $70.89 million over its three-day debut in 2006. It was also the biggest opening for a non-sequel for any month of the year. In addition, Alice brought in $94 million as it opened in about 40 countries overseas, bringing its worldwide total to $210.3 million. Director Tim Burton’s previous best opening was Planet of the Apes, which collected $68.5 million in 2001"

I really can't decide who i loved the most.
Anne Hathaway looked amazing with her black lips and white hair, very fashionable.
Johnny Deep as always was on top form.
I loved the whole doppelgangers thing i thought it was fanastic
I thought overall it was okay and it was like a some sort of 'nice trip' especially for Tim Burton
it wasn't that dark at all, it was like light in the darkness. It was as if it should of been scary and more twisted but wasnt.
The whole refence to eyes was good as well an the whole binary opposites.
I really didnt like the ending, but i think that was just so it would be possible for a sequel.
