This months glam rock, taken from december 2010 vogue.
It would have been more than obvious to do a post on a glam rock film such as the boy who fell from the sky (what ever its called), however 2/3 glam rock esque films I have watched I havent really paid any attention to. However Christaine.F is a different matter. Although it isn't exactly a proper glam rock film, so yeah I suppose I'm cheating. But...Bowie does appear in it and he did all the sound track so shush.
Christanie.F is deffnetily one of my favourite films. It is based on a true story of a 14 year old heroin addict prositute from Germany. Bet all your all thinking what a depressive bitch. Not that I have EVER considered taking heroin, Christanie. F certainly makes sure you never ever ever want to take it. From watching Britians bash at heroin (Train spotting) which in good British humour makes us laugh at it without knowing and Austrialia's Candy which glamourises it with love and Heath Ledger, I think Germany wins with the accurate grittyness and rawness of the entire heroin subject. I dont want to go into the plot as I'd much rather you all watched, but as usual I am gonna say my two pennys worth on the costume.
The costume is fucking amazing as is the acting! Christaine has a distinctive grungey look. like all young girls she dresses older than she is but not in a slutty way in a kiddy socks with heels with a dash of red lipstick, waist coat model kinda way.
Like all teenagers she wears things shes intrested in, at the beginning she has a customised BOWIE jacket which you can tell she loves. However as the story progresses she exchanges her love of bowie for her love for heroin, which she makes obvious by wearing a neck tie around her neck (for shooting up). This is as you imagine highly disurbing.
other notes on the film: she has a good looking boyfriend called Detlev however I laughed at him the entrie film because he wore underpants so yeah dont say i warned you. And apparently he is now a bus driver.

payday tomorrow WOO, i cannot wait to buy some fabrics. So yeah as you have all noticed things have been all witchy and gothic at the moment. However you know me, things are set to change. And its been decided the change is....glam rock. I thought this editorial was an inbetween of some sort. but yeah how good would a glam rock witch be.
Hope you all have had a great weekend, Iv'e been in Liverpool shooting a short film, there will be pictures and details up soon. Also as of now I have a teeny bit more spare time I will be doing (hopefully) so more photo and styling shoots. Oh and I have another new baby sister :)
After a long arguement in my head over who was the ultimate witch (boham-cater vs. hutson) Hutson won. She is in my top favourite actresses list and well she pulls of the witch so magically she had to be the winner. And she looks as if she would glide instead of walking so yeah she wins.
I feel like these witchy posts have been so boring for you, hope you lot don't think that. But I'm torn between doing the themes 1950's pin-up or glamrock. So I'm leaving it to you to decide so please let me know
Fated to be hated has well and truly put a spell on me. First of all she isn't a full time witch she dresses in various wonderful styles and fuckin nails it everytime. to be enchanted check out her lookbook and her blog.
note I NEEED that ralph lauren farm shirt.
These are shots from Tomihiro Kono. Tomi (the designer) is a hair stylist come head prop stylist in London. He works with art directors, photographer, stylists to create bespoke imaginative one-off pieces for fashion stories. What a story teller. Hats off to this guy seari (lol). It has a witchy enchanted Shakespeare mid summer night spell to it as well as bohemian Russian circus touch to it. Also check out the film (above)which Tomi did the hair prop's for.weallly good. If you wanna catch his blog here
I really hope my posts don't seem neglectful, its just I'm super busy so I have like two mins to bang on. However I do have some beautifuly dark pagan gothic posts coming up. Again apolgises for the half hearted outfit post but I PROMISE that I will start doing better ones as I'm absolutely itching. And I can't tell you my itch for wanting to make things, I spent my day at work drawing designs-very frustrating.
Anyway heres some good news, my stickers came today, and I am so pleased with them. If any of you need personalised stickers then holla at D3.
